The Small Animal Ark - Holiday Home Service
| Despite being loving and devoted pet
owners, we all need holidays but even though more and more holiday destinations
are willing to accept dogs and other animals, unless you go on holiday in your
own caravan, we think that it's pretty unlikely that you will find anywhere
that is willing to allow you to take your rabbits, guinea pigs, rats or other
small furry friends with you. Obviously this can lead to problems, scurrying
around trying to find friends or family members who will look after your pets
while you are away... until now. As an addition to the rehoming side of things,
we are now offering an animal holiday service where you can bring your pets to
us while you go on holiday. Whether it is for a short weekend break, or an
extended holiday for a few weeks, we will look after, feed and care for your
pets while you take a much-needed break. As money raised from this goes straight back into the Ark, we want to keep costs down and run it as cost effectively as we can. We will take in any type of small animal that the Small Animal Ark already caters for and offer a number of prices and options to suit everyone's needs. You are welcome to bring your pets in their own hutches or cages or - subject to availability - use one of our own hutches in the rescue itself. Prices vary depending on the type and number of pets but typically a rabbit, guinea pig or rat would cost £2 a day, while some smaller pets would be charged per cage. You are more than welcome to bring your own food and bedding for your pets if this is what you would prefer them to use, or we can provide this for them at a small additional cost of 75p per animal per day. We feed all of the rabbits in the rescue on Russell Rabbit and guineas on Gertie Guinea Pig so you can rest assured that we only use high quality food. If you have an animal that you want to book in for a holiday stay, please contact us here or telephone us on 0784 7675572 or Rachael on 0790 6136888. |
