As the rescue picks up and more and more animals come in to me, I will need help from foster carers to take in some animals that I am not able to look after myself. Even if it's just one animal it will help the rescue immensely. I don't want to have to turn away an animal in need of a safe place to stay while a more suitable home is being found, so fostering will be away of me being able to take in more animals than I'm currently allowed by my landlord.

Fostering will be on a voluntary basis, although all food and bedding will be provided by the rescue so there will be no cost to you. All I ask is that if you want to be a foster is that you have time to get the animal that is placed with you ready for a permanent home. By this I mean handling the animal, getting it used to being touched, approached etc. and more importantly, looked after well. I would rather not place an animal for fostering with a family with children under 5 years of age - I'm a mother and know what little children can be like and it wouldn't be fair if the child got bitten because of not understanding how animals should be cared for, or for the animal to be poked etc.

If you think you could do fostering and have the time to do it then please get in touch by emailing me here and I will get back to you, take your details and get back to you when and if I need help. :-)
