Favourite Moments

Everyone who is a WWE fan will have their favourite memories over the years. What we'd like to do here is try to bring you a selection from many of the WWE fans who visit this site. If you want to add anything to any of the categories here, please email them in to us and we'll try to include as many as we can. You don't need to have a reply to every topic, just the ones you can think of something to say.

Favourite Superstar

Being a wrestling fan for many years, I've seen lots of great Superstars, I also love the history of wrestling and I read up on a lot of Superstars. From people like Frank Gotch, Gorgeous George, Freddie Blassie etc. up to the present crop of Superstars. The one Superstar that stands out is Kurt Angle - he, in my opinion, has it all. He's a great mat wrestler, brilliant on the microphone and works just as well as a heel or a baby face. (Matt Jackson)

Most Missed Superstar

It's a sad day for everyone when the world loses another Superstar for whatever reason, but there have been too many tragic deaths over the years. Of all of these, Kurt Hennig ("Mr Perfect") is probably the Superstar I would miss the most, if only because I have seen him in action more than any of the others, and that his athletic skills away from the squared circle were very impressive... some might even say "perfect". (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Superstar Entrance

When it comes to wrestlers entering the ring, probably the most impressive I can think of is Rey Mysterio. While it's a fairly simply technique for him to be launched through the floor of the Titantron, it still looks great and sets the scene brilliantly for his hi-octane performance. (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Superstar Debut

My favourite at the moment of all of the Superstar debuts has to be Zach Gowen when he entered the ring on Smackdown! on 3rd July 2003. He was absolutely incredible, and far more agile than I ever imagined. I'd heard he was a pretty good wrestler, but I was surprised to see how really good he is. I think it won't be too long before he's offered a Cruiserweight title shot. (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Entrance Music

A tie-up between two here I think. First is the original "Real American" theme for Hulk Hogan (I'm showing my age there!) which was also used by that Hogan-wannabe, Mr America. Alternatively, Limp Bizkit's "Rollin'" that was used for the Undertaker. You can imagine the smile on my face when it was used again at Wrestlemania XIX. (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Pay-Per-View

Favourite Match

I've always like the hardcore matches - just show one of them to someone who keeps insisting that wrestling is fake and I think they'll soon change their minds! Of all of these, I'd probably rate the title match at the Royal Rumble 2000 between Triple H and Cactus Jack as the most brutal that I can remember. What they put themselves through was astonishing, and everything about the match was just superb, even the build-up in the weeks before when the match was changed in a dramatic moment to Cactus Jack from Mankind. Simply one of the best ever. (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Moment in a Match

Here it has to be the Last Man Standing match at Backlash 2001 between the Big Show and Shane McMahon. When Shane dropped off the top of the Titantron onto the Big Show, it was a visually stunning move, and to be honest, I can't see how they both managed to leave the arena without needing serious medical attention. I think it's safe to say that Shane could have been killed that night - it just goes to show what these guys will go through to put on a good show. (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Storyline

Favourite WWE Moment

My all-time favourite has to be the latest appearance of Hulk Hogan on Smackdown! recently when he made his first appearance as "Mr America". Everything about this was just fantastic, from the opening music to the obvious fact that it was Hogan. Everything that Hogan said or did was classic Hogan, and even when he was denying his identity throughout the appearance that only served to add to the moment even more. Something I'll never forget as a wrestling fan. (Simon Plumbe)

One of my other favourites would probably be the end of the Rock/Hogan match from Wrestlemania X8. Just seeing the way the two of them acted in the ring at the end with Rock encouraging Hogan to pose for the fans was superb. I didn't stop smiling until long after the event finished! (Simon Plumbe)

Funniest Moment

My personal favourite at the moment has to be the recent verbal sparring between The Rock and The Hurricane over who was the best superhero. The comments made by the Hurricane when he was found hiding in The Rock's locker were priceless, and although I hadn't been too impressed with RAW, that was definitely one of the highlights. (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Wrestling Game

Without any hesitation, this would have to be Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth! for the Playstation 2. There's a great selection of wrestlers, superb graphics, great commentary from Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler (although not as extensive as the previous Smackdown game), and an incredibly deep and involving story mode. A classic game. (Simon Plumbe)

Favourite Live Event Attended

Not been to any yet - they always sell out far too quickly and the ones that don't tend to fall on dates that I can't get to - perhaps someday... I'm just waiting for the next WWE appearance right here in Birmingham, England then I'll definitely be there! (Simon Plumbe)
