Anco Software

The Anco Collection - Updated: 1st January 2004

Dedicated to the memory of Anil Gupta

Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be redesigning the Anco part of our Downloads section. Following the sad passing of Anil Gupta, founder of Anco, on 20th May 2003, we will be converting this section into an extensive tribute to Anil and Anco, with more detailed information on their games, more titles available across a range of formats, screenshots, production credits, box art and more.

In this section, we'll be bringing you a selection of articles relating to Anco, plus downloadable software released over the years by Anco (formerly known as Anirog), one of the oldest software companies in the UK and who were operational until the untimely death of company director, Anil Gupta. Anco released a vast range of games across a range of formats since 1982! Most of the titles here are from their vast 8-bit back catalogue, but we are also going to be bringing you games for the Amiga, Atari ST, PC and many more formats but there are some real gems amongst these.

Anco have been producing games on a range of formats since the early 1980s when the released games under the Anirog brand. In that time, they have released games on most major computer formats and have been responsible for the classic Kick Off series of football games. We have now been given permission to bring you almost the entire Anco back catalogue released up to 1999 across a range of formats thanks to the company's late founder, Anil Gupta.

Some of the games here are cracked versions (included with Anco's permission) as these are the only copies that we could source at the moment. We are working on getting uncracked versions and as we get them, we will replace the cracked versions on the site. Prepare yourself for a roller-coaster ride of two decades worth of gaming...

Feel free to download everything available here. All we ask is that if your friends want any of these, please ask them to download their own copies. If you download a lot of files, please give consideration to making a small donation to help us fund this free archive using the button below. Even if you could only spare a pound or two, it will help us to keep this service online indefinitely.

Well, we hope you enjoy these titles, and please feel free to download anything here. While permission is granted for you to download any of these games, the copyright remains with the original authors and publishers.
